Department:
Ideal Profile:
This role is focused on the growth of a small local church through relational evangelism and culturally relevant discipleship in one of the most secular countries in the world. Joining an existing team in Pardubice, you will address the critical need for healthy reproducing church models in a context where apathy to The Gospel is a primary barrier.
Your mission is to partner with a local church plant to establish a healthy, local-led, and self-sustaining congregation that serves as a platform for future multiplication.
Key Responsibilities
- Relational Evangelism: Focus on gaining trust and developing relationships to share the gospel effectively in a context where most people are indifferent or see little relevance to daily life.
- Biblical Discipleship: Conduct one-on-one discipleship according to the Scriptures, providing first-generation believers with a clear model of what it looks like to follow Christ.
- Leadership Training: Train local believers and church leadership in church planting concepts to move the congregation toward becoming a reproducing, local-led body.
- Biblical Modeling: Publicly live out a Christ-centered life to provide a visible, daily model of biblical living for a society with a deep cultural identity of godlessness.
- Language Acquisition: Commit to the intensive, long-term labor of learning the Czech language and assimilating into the culture to engage meaningfully with the local population.
- Church Equipping: Serve alongside local partners and use personal giftings to help establish the necessary structure and health for a fragile congregation.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills within a diverse team environment to ensure unity and stability on the ground.
- Ministry Development: Work with the Field Director and missionary team to implement strategies that transform small church plants into missional platforms for multiplication.
Essential Qualifications
- College education (AA or higher) or trade school certificate.
- At least 2 years of consistent service within a local church.
- Proven competency in adult basic living skills (Financial Independence, Professional Experience, Independent Living, and Mature Relationships).
- Strong verbal and written skills, with a growing competency in long-distance and team communication.
Marathon Mentality
You possess the endurance to run a long race, understanding that ministry in this region grows at a slow rate and that lasting impact takes time.
Humble Learning
You approach the culture and the team with a learner’s heart rather than a knower’s, remaining receptive to feedback and new ideas.
Strong Work Ethic
You are self-motivated and diligent, maintaining a high level of effort even when tasks are difficult or unglamorous.
Teamwork & Respect
You consistently demonstrate respect for your colleagues and local partners, working as a unified team rather than an individual.
Financial Responsibility
You demonstrate wise stewardship and accountability with all personal and ministry resources.
Compensation
The person serving in this position raises funds for their salary, ministry expenses, and benefits. When you accept the position, we will provide you with a fundraising coach who will guide you through the entire support-raising process.
