Ideal Profile:
We are seeking an experienced Pastor or Missionary to come alongside the local church in Goroka.
Your primary focus will be equipping the saints for the work of ministry, specifically targeting national pastors and lay leaders across 14 local churches. This role requires a heart that prefers empowering others over holding the spotlight.
Key Responsibilities
- Pastoral Training: Design and facilitate theological and practical ministry training for national pastors.
- Mentorship: Provide one-on-one discipleship and counseling to local church leaders facing ministry burnout or complex community issues.
- Itinerant Ministry: Regularly visit the 14 associated local churches to encourage congregations and assess leadership health.
- Curriculum Adaptation: Contextualize biblical teaching materials to fit the cultural context.
- Support: Learn the logistics of missionary life and assist in general station duties on an on going basis.
Essential Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Senior Pastor/Teaching Pastor or Lead Missionary.
- Strong theological background (Bible College or Seminary degree preferred).
- Experience in cross-cultural communication and teaching.

The person serving in this position raises funds for their salary, ministry expenses and benefits. When you accept the position we will provide you with a fundraising coach who will guide you through the entire process.
