This summer internship immerses you in a small but strategic town in remote Ecuador, where To Every Tribe missionaries recently planted the only evangelical church in the region. This town serves as a hub for 30 surrounding indigenous unreached communities, making it a key platform for long-term gospel impact.
As the intern, you will continue and build on a vital outreach ministry: helping run a week-long English camp and a week-long VBS, which naturally integrate Bible teaching and evangelism. These outreaches have become an important bridge into the community. In addition to these, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in the life of the local church, by leading a men’s or women’s weekly bible study, and weekly children’s Sunday school class.
We are looking for a self-starter with vision and drive, someone who can take initiative while also working collaboratively with missionaries on the ground. This internship is not only an opportunity to serve on the front lines of cross-cultural ministry, but also a chance to explore and discern your own call to long-term missions among unreached peoples.
We will provide an introduction to cross-cultural ministry training to help prepare you for the experience and guide you as you serve. A medium to high level of Spanish proficiency is required, since you will be engaging directly with children and families. You will also work alongside local church members, who will support and strengthen your ministry in the community.
