Ecuador Vision Trip

Journey into the remote foothills of southeastern Ecuador to walk alongside missionaries and local believers laboring to establish Christ’s church in an unreached region of the Amazon. Experience firsthand the realities of pioneer ministry as you engage with communities where the gospel is still largely unknown and the church is in its earliest stages. This eight-day vision trip offers a prayerful opportunity to discern a long-term calling to evangelism, discipleship, and church planting among the peoples of southeastern Ecuador.

8 Days – Southeastern Ecuador

The Ecuador Vision Trip is a eight-day journey designed for those prayerfully considering long-term missions (3–5 years or more). This “taste and see” trip gives you the opportunity to experience firsthand the work of To Every Tribe in a remote area of the Amazon, meet missionaries and local believers, and discern whether God may be calling you to serve among an unreached region of the world.

the bigger vision

To Every Tribe’s vision in Ecuador is to see the Lord extend the worship of Christ to an underdeveloped, biologically diverse, and spiritually unreached region where more than 8,000 people live in small communities scattered among the foothills of the Andes. Despite over a century of gospel ministry in various parts of Ecuador, the area where To Every Tribe is working has only one evangelical church (which TET’s missionaries have helped to establish) and only a handful of believers.

Our long-term strategy is to serve this Platform Church in the county seat town, from which Network Churches in the smaller towns and eventually Remote Churches in isolated villages can be established.

This vision requires a team of missionaries who will evangelize the lost, disciple believers, and appoint elders to shepherd the church in each town.

The Need in Ecuador

Only one evangelical church (recently planted) currently exists in the county.

The region is marked by Roman Catholicism blended with traditional practices, leaving most without an understanding of the gospel.

30 remote communities remain largely unreached.

There is an urgent need for evangelists, disciple-makers, and church planters who will live among the people and proclaim the only gospel which can save them.

We Are Praying For

We are asking God to raise up missionary units who will:

  • Evangelize and plant churches in town and surrounding network towns.
  • Disciple and equip local believers to serve one another in self-sustaining churches.
  • Pioneer into remote communities, carrying the gospel into villages where Christ is not yet known.

why this trip matters

This vision trip is not tourism—it is an invitation to step into God’s story in southeastern Ecuador. By walking the land, meeting the people, and hearing the vision, you’ll return with a clear understanding of both the joys and challenges of long-term missions in this region—and whether God may be leading you to join the work of establishing Christ’s church in this corner of the world.
